National
More than 300 delegates attended the 2008 National Values Education Forum: ' The Australian Values Education Journey – Leading change, shaping futures, building community' at the Hotel Realm, in the ACT on 29–30 May 2008.
States and Territories
In the Australian Capital Territory:
- Chapman Primary School trialled and implemented their values education program through a peer support program.
In Tasmania:
- Riverside Primary School explored how values education can be part of their curriculum and worked with other schools to explore the links between values education and bullying.
In Victoria:
- Greenhills Primary School has collaborated with their community, staff, students and parents to determine a shared vision for the school.
- Values education forums in Western Australia demonstrated the diversity of approaches being used by schools to incorporate values education.
