Project proposal summary

This project aims to improve the explicit teaching and learning of core values by engaging teachers and students in working with elders, family and community members to develop their understanding and practice of these values. Staff professional learning sessions will focus on the ways in which shared values and culture intersect. The school community, students, staff and families wish to be able to articulate an understanding and knowledge of their shared values. The project will also work closely with parents to support the values focus. The development of school climate and community centeredness through cultural and value-based understanding will be a main focus. All schools within the cluster will celebrate ‘who we are and what we value’ in a specific activity at the end of the project.
