Sunday, 18 January 2009
to Friday, 23 January 2009
Geelong Grammar School, Corio, Geelong, Victoria.
The Positive Education Teacher Training Conferences to be held in January 2009 are an excellent opportunity for teachers from all school sectors across Australia to be trained by the world leading researchers and trainers in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
The training will cover the theory of positive education and resilience, including the practical application of these into the teacher’s own life and classroom. Participants will be trained in positive education approaches which aim to improve the wellbeing of students and teachers, as well as foster resilience in dealing with life’s adversities.
Professor Martin Seligman, Fox Leadership Professor at the University of Pennsylvania will lead the training conferences, along with Dr Karen Reivich, Co-Director of the Penn Resiliency Project at the University of Pennsylvania, and a team of experts from the US.
