High-quality visual arts education provides significant educational returns for both individuals and society. In a changing educational world, we need a better understanding of what constitutes high-quality visual arts education, and visual education more generally, and how we can make them more broadly available to Australian students. A review launched by the Australian Government is currently investigating issues surrounding education in visual arts, craft, design and visual communication in terms of curriculum, teaching and teacher education.
