Pacific Neighbours
Curriculum Corporation has managed the production of Pacific Neighbours: Understanding the Pacific islands, a print resource with CD ROM developed for the Asia Education Foundation (AEF) as part of an AusAID-funded project.![]()
From the Huli people of the Papua New Guinea highlands to the coral atolls of low-lying Tuvalu, Pacific Neighbours: Understanding the Pacific islands introduces students in Years 7-10 to one of the most fascinating and varied areas of the world.
Through explorations in geography, history, and political and social development, students learn of the ways that Pacific islanders are working together to preserve their unique cultures, build peace and address the impact of climate change.
The accompanying CD ROM reformats the content of the book by country through the use of an interactive map, and includes extra teacher and student resources.
The resource will be available through a professional learning program run by the AEF and also through the global education providers.
