Curriculum Corporation managed the development of Thinking Globally, Global perspectives in the early years for AusAID, the Australian Government's overseas aid program.
The purpose of the resource is to support early years teachers include a global perspective in their classrooms.
Thinking Globally is a book and CD-ROM which provides teachers with activities and resources to help young children become active global citizens. The book's six chapters of cross-curricula activities focus on interdependence, identity, dimensions of change, social justice, rights, peace building and sustainable futures.
The CD-ROM provides digital resources created by The Learning Federation that support the material in the book and includes lesson plans, photographs and graphic organisers from the book for easy use with young children. It also includes an annotated list of picture storybooks and a video modelling good global education practice.
