The National Consumer and Financial Literacy Professional Learning Package was developed for DEEWR and the Financial Literacy Foundation under the Australian Government Quality Teacher Programme (AGQTP). The resource aims to build the capacity of teachers in primary and secondary schools to engage students in consumer and financial literacy.

The Package includes three professional learning modules, which introduce Consumer and Financial Literacy across the curriculum in the Core Module and then looks at implementation in primary settings and secondary settings in Modules 2 and 3. A comprehensive Teacher Guide contains a collection of resources to assist teachers to build their understanding of the context for Consumer and Financial literacy. The Teacher Guide also contains a DVD.

To support the implementation of the Package, the website includes PDFs of the package, a detailed list of other resources to compliment the initiative, state and territory curriculum maps, AGQTP contact details in each state and territory for professional learning opportunities, some of The Le@rning Federation (TLF) Learning Objects and related teaching activities, sample teacher lesson plans and other links and news items.
