In 2007-2008, CC developed a State-wide Language Support Program (LSP) resource for the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD).
The task was to restructure existing draft materials into a newly-developed state-wide resource for teachers, aimed at building teacher capacity, and hence the capacity of the system, to support students with a language disorders/difficulties
The development of the Language Support Program state-wide resource involved:
- restructuring the existing draft materials into learning modules useful for school-based teacher/coordinator use
- developing a new range of appendices covering: Koorie specific language advice; ESL specific language advice; materials for effective use in secondary school teaching environments
- producing supplementary materials, to support the learning modules including: a guide for teachers
- obtaining licences for third party copyright material included in the manuscript.
