National Heart Foundation
In 2006 Curriculum Corporation undertook a scoping project for the National Heart Foundation, investigating nutrition and physical activity in the primary school environment. This involved researching and producing a report that:
- provided an overview of the primary school education system in Australia
- identified the key players in the setting of the curriculum agenda, and;
- recommended a strategic direction to the Heart Foundation Inc. (in partnership with key stakeholders) to enhance its positive impact on the nutrition, health and physical activity of primary school aged children as part of the response to the childhood obesity issue in Australia.
Australian Football League
In 2004/05, Curriculum Corporation was contracted by the Australian Football League to develop two CD-ROM resources:
- AFL Heritage Curriculum Resource, comprising 16 learning activities in 8 Learning Areas which are geared to years P-8; and
- AFL Senior Secondary Curriculum Resource, providing units of work in 5 learning areas for Years 11 and 12.
Subsequently in 2007, Curriculum Corporation was asked by the Australian Football League to undertake a refresh and extension of the Heritage Curriculum Resource for on-line delivery. Australian Paralympic Committee
In 2009 Curriculum Corporation was commissioned by the Australian Paralympic Committee to review existing resources and contribute new resources to the Paralympic Education Program (PEP). The PEP's purpose is to familiarise the Australian public with Australian Paralympians, Paralympic sports and rules and the classification system. Surf Life Saving Australia
To coincide with 2007 Year of the Surf Lifesaver, Surf's Up was a project that Curriculum Corporation managed for Surf Life Saving Australia. It involved the production of a 74 teacher and student resource book for primary students, mapped to the curricula across Australia, and the delivery of a communication plan to enable distribution to schools around Australia, utilising Education Quarterly (EQ) journal and other CC communication channels to schools.
