National Assessment Report
The National Assessment Program – Civics and Citizenship Years 6 & 10 Report was released by the Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs on 16 December 2006. The National Assessment Program (NAP) tests students’ competencies in the area of civics and citizenship education against the Key Performance Measures at Years 6 and 10. The sample included 10,712 Year 6 students from 318 schools, and 9,536 Year 10 students from 249 schools. The report contains an executive summary, and a breakdown of results by State and Territory
