For Teachers

A number of resources are available to support teachers in delivering civics and citizenship education.

Professional learning resources introduce teachers to ideas of civics and citizenship, show how to teach democratic values and help teachers make the most of the Discovering Democracy resources. There is also a resource for new and pre-service teachers. School case studies and stories of good practice demonstrate how schools have successfully incorporated civics and citizenship education into the classroom. An historical calendar will help teachers identify significant days in Australia's history.
