Lesson's overall aim
Students will learn about the House of Representatives and the Senate, with a particular focus on how members are chosen and the role they play in the Australian system of government. Using an ‘expert’ approach, students will research examples of when smaller parties and Independents have used their power ensure a bill’s safe passage through the Senate, as well as when they have enforced changes.
